Summary
Inspired by epics such as the The Three Theban Plays and The Odyssey, I wrote this poem to contextualize one of the most important events in my original works (collectively called Unfamiliar), and to give my world a deeper history and to make it all the more mysterious. This muli-part poem tells the tale of the very first al-Riyad and his followers, as they attempt to build a tower to reach the stars.
This poem is also heavily inspired and references Richie Blackmore's/Ronnie James Dio's band Rainbow, and I'm mentioning it here because I couldn't find any tags for it. This work is specifically referencing their song Stargazer from the album Rainbow: Rising.
This work is also available on my ToyHouse, where I go under the same name.
