Summary
(Previously titled "Quirkless Culture", but I had a change of mind.)
Izuku's quirklessness isn't something that can ever be taken from him, not even by giving him a quirk. Deep down, there will always be that quirkless boy with a crazy dream that he'd follow off a cliff. Nothing can change that. Not that he wants it to. And when he meets other people in his shoes, he cannot look away. Those are his people.

Summary
The black vest is buttoned up, the fragrance misted on, and then he's ready to leave. He looks over his appearance one more time, grabs his bag, and takes the flower. He checks that, too, because she might take the flower, and she deserves a pretty flower for her potentially last, and maybe even first, present. It's still as pretty as he knew it’d be— he’d spent a long time deciding on it, after all— , and now he has no more reason to delay, and he knows he shouldn't.
He pauses after opening the door, his eyes straying over to his shelf full of plants: one glass for every person he's said goodbye to. It takes a deep breath for him to tear his eyes away, and he exits the room. Automatically, his feet lead him to his destination, the route to the abandoned building more familiar than it had any right to be.

Summary
All quirkless people have to wear shoes that are specially made to fit their extra toe joints. These shoes are bright red and easily recognizable by other quirkless people. One night, Bakugou and Midoriya bump into a girl wearing these same shoes, and she invites Izuku to a "party."
That party is her own suicide.

Izuku took a deep but silent breath and, when he exhaled, every single emotion disappeared from his brain. Izuku Midoriya was lying at the bottom of that sea, without caring to get out from there."

OR: One day, after Midnight-sensei talked in class about Quirkless Discrimination, Izuku felt the urge to clear his head by going for a run. On the way, he helped a quirkless child and Izuku promised himself to give him the best day he could. No matter what.
