"The walk to Chancellor Palpatine’s office seemed to Bail to grow longer with every step. Now that Cad Bane was gone, and he wasn’t held at blasterpoint or surrounded by laser-triggered explosives, the adrenaline of the day was beginning to wear off. He was starting to feel the fact that he had fallen a whole story with no warning and no chance to brace himself. His ribs twinged with every breath, his knees ached, and his head pounded.
Worst of all though, were his hands."

I noticed in the background of s1e22 that Bail placed his hands DIRECTLY on the edge of the just-melted floor and I didn't see any fics about that. Then I started wondering, "Where was Breha during the whole hostage situation? How much was she told?" I decided to combine both of those into one delightfully angsty story FEAT. Palpatine making everything worse.

My own take on the infamous waterfall scene, exploring Elrond's motivations. The first chapter is canon compliant (and explains how Elrond managed to take the rings in the first place), where as the second chapter leaves canon behind in favor of whumpy, hurt/comforty goodness and Galadriel and Elrond actually TALKING!
"Every time Elrond tried to speak to Galadriel about their plans going forward or about the Man who had come with her, the fraudulent king, she brushed him off. The rings ever drew her gaze, cold and stoic, and for the few moments he could hold her attention, it was almost as if she looked through him instead of at him.
His mother had looked at him much the same way."

I've always wondered what the Sindarin/Sylvan elves thought of the sun. Like, the Vanyar were probably there, the Noldor that stayed were INTIMATELY aware of what happened, and I doubt it took long for word to spread to the Teleri. Even the bannished Noldor probably took one look at it and were like, "Oh, hey! The Valar fixed the lights! Yay!"
The Avari, on the other hand, just saw the sky get light in the west, the stars disappearing, and a GIANT BALL OF FIRE COMING OVER THE HORIZON!!! For several hours, the stars are missing, the sky is blue, and the world is flooded in more light than they've ever seen in their immortal lives! Then, finally, it passes them, the light goes away, the stars come back, and everything is back to normal... UNTIL THE NEXT DAY WHEN THE SUN COMES BACK FROM THE OTHER DIRECTION!!!
Anyway, this is a folkstory about how they might have explained/rationalized it, written after they've come to like the sun, written in alliterative shortline, because why not

I like to include the broken souls universe when writing for fanfiction challenges, so I decided to go ahead and put them all in one story. This will mostly be made up of unconnected oneshots about the peredhil either from previous stories, or descended from that group. Fluffy and filled with bioluminescent sheep!
