Akito had been expecting a cake, or something simple like that, but this sort of twist isn’t really a surprise. Even after so long, Toya’s still trying new things; it’s something that’s never left him. It’s one of the countless parts of his husband that Akito doesn’t think he’ll ever get tired of.
It’s been twenty-two years, after all, and twenty-nine since they’ve met. He’s forty-five and Toya’s forty-six, and Akito doesn’t think this fondness will ever leave him.
