Inspired by a thread by kspence on alternatehistory.com I decided I would try my hand at retooling the plot and events of 28 Weeks Later, specifically with the goal of creating a more plausible series of events that explain why a second outbreak occurred and how it reached the Continent. This is probably still tilting at windmills a bit, as there are some things that just can't be accounted for to complete satisfaction - but I hope it can be a fun read that maybe elevates the plot from "totally bonkers dumb" to merely "pretty dumb".
