By the time Shane presented (at thirteen), he already had scouters interested (at nine), so there was really no time to be an omega. There still isn’t, there is only time for hockey, so he’s simply not — not in any way that matters. He takes his suppressants so he doesn’t stink and so he doesn’t go into heat, he hones his game, he doesn’t make time for anything else. But he thinks about being an omega all the time, and worry like that has a scent.

Beta Jungkook is stuck alone in Seoul when his cycle unexpectedly peaks. Friends of a friend, alpha-omega couple Namjoon and Jimin take him in for a couple of days.
Namjoon and Jimin are a confirmed couple who decidedly don't want a third. Jungkook is wary of alpha-omega pairs.

It hangs over his head, taunts him. At the end of the day, Shane could shower in scented oils, devote himself to being prepped and ready for any given moment, but it just is not the same. His body is his body, and Ilya’s desire for him hinges on if he likes Shane enough to go through all of the extra trouble.
Also i love how Ilya is still keeping up the best hocky player bit while comforting shane, its cute and a nice touch.
