“Still the same?” he asked. He didn't have to elaborate. Tubbo just scooted a bit further away in response.
“Alright, we gotta start doing something about this.” Phil shuffled his cloak, sticking out a wing in Tubbo's direction. Tubbo stared at it. Surely Phil wasn't suggesting that Tubbo electrocute him?
“Go on. Grab it,” Phil encouraged him.
“What? Are you insane? I'll kill you!” Tubbo pushed himself away even further on the desk, eyes fixated on the black feathers before him.

There are no city wide catastrophes, no flashy, televised fights between the heroes and villains, no world-threatening crisis that needs to be averted or caused. So why does everything feel so wrong anyway?
It's a stupid question. Tubbo knows exactly why, he's reminded of it every time he looks at his hands and sees small bolts of static electricity pass where his fingers get too close to each other. He tries to avoid his problems, as always. They catch up to him, as always.

That was the thought floating in Fundy’s mind, as he turned towards Niki and flapped his tail one final time, pushing him over the invisible line.

Against his dad's wishes, Fundy leaves the pod's home reef to explore the ocean with Niki. Far above them, a crew of pirates steer their ship through the waves.

Summary
It seemed this time they had picked up more than they had intended.
Sitting crouched behind a large piece of some kind of machinery was the mysterious teleporter.
They felt the ship speed up as it left the hangar, and the relief on the stranger’s face was obvious. Tubbo had never seen anyone look that happy about getting off a planet.

It was supposed to be just a brief pitstop on a remote planet. Tommy and Tubbo did not expect to find a member of an unknown species hiding with their cargo.

“I’m never fucking listening to Tubbo again,” Tommy muttered.
“Don’t move, I’m trying to adjust this.” Tubbo held a rope with one pair of arms and a wooden lever with another. Ranboo was holding back the bucket of the catapult to stop it from launching the payload - in this case, Tommy - into the air before the right time. “I’ve never launched anything bigger than a coconut from this thing. I gotta make sure it’s up to speed for something your size.”
Tommy blew out all the air from his lungs in a dramatic huff. “Great. Just great!”
Ranboo rolled their eyes. “Oh, come on. At least you have your wings. Imagine what it’s like to be dropped from the sky when you can’t fly.”

Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo all have one thing in common: Anytime they die, they come back healthy and unharmed. But when you're as careless as they are, things are bound to go wrong eventually.

But this year Techno actually had a goal.
Not a romantic one. He never seemed to have those for whatever reason.
He opened the box in front of him, reaching in and sorting the contents neatly on the table.
LEGOs. A weird muggle invention of little plastic bricks that slotted into each other to make statues. Tommy had explained the point of them to Techno a couple years ago, back when Techno was in second year and Tommy in first. Techno had finally managed to get his hands on one. He wasn't about to let a random holiday get in the way of his greatest achievement so far.
Even if he had to flick paper hearts off his instructions every couple seconds.
