Summary
"Did you come here to see that whore? Or did you remember your place?" Riko demanded.
My place is on the Foxes, Kevin thought, but he was too drunk to sell the lie. Kevin couldn't argue with Riko so he did the second most dangerous thing. He told the truth.
"I miss you," Kevin murmured.
~
After the fall banquet, the Foxes' bus breaks down and strands them at the hotel with the rest of the conference. Facing the Ravens and handling Neil's outburst have worn Kevin down and an invitation from Riko is a temptation he can't resist.

Summary
They weren't moving.
Jean charged toward the panel. He remembered which button opened the door —he wouldn't have gotten into the elevator if he didn't. Frantically, he tried jamming it with his pointer finger. Jeremy's silence meant he had already tried while Jean's eyes were closed. He kept smashing the button, because it had to work. It had to.

Six months ago, Jean arrived in Los Angeles with all of belongings packed sparingly into a backpack and carry-on suitcase. Six hours ago, he landed in South Carolina with the same luggage for a three-day stay.
And also a dog carrier.

Summary
A growl rumbles through the cavernous walls. It’s Sparker. Unease seeps into me and I freeze where I stand, clutching Gephyra until she twists out of my grip. Sparker’s formidability makes the idea of him feeling any pain, disconcerting. Another cry sounds through the nests and spurred by courage I hardly recognize, I take off at a run.

Summary
The rumors started long before Jean agreed to join the Trojans. It was idle chatter around the Edgar Allan campus. A few online forum discussions. The odd remark from a reporter. Conspiracy theories thrown around the locker room before a team was set to face off against the Ravens and the object of their curiosity.
Every single Raven daemon had been spotted at some point or another. All except one.
The rumors became a living thing when Riko died.
Reports came from the other athletes in Fox Tower, unanimous and clear: an unconscious Jean Moreau was seen carried out by security, bloody, with lacerations covering his arms and torso. Behind him medics rolled a covered cart large enough for a couch or fridge. Presumably carrying his daemon.
The real leak came two days after. A security guard told someone who told someone who told the media that allegedly, Jean was found in the wrecked dorm of Kevin Day. Specifically found locked in the bathroom. One quote circulated like fire across news cites and gossip columns: “We had to tranquilize his daemon. She was trying to kill him.”
Or, the daemon AU no one asked for except for me.Bookmarked by ProblemDuetest4life

Summary
Jean does not know when the mark shows up for certain. What he knows is that during his freshman year in between the first horrible night and the next, the words JEAN MOREAU? JEREMY KNOX. show up on the back of his neck where only the others could see. Thirty minutes later, everyone knew.
“Yes?” Jean Moreau’s voice is hoarse, tinny through the phone, and his accent shortens the reply by a half-syllable, but it doesn’t matter. Because he is an idiot, Jeremy’s heart swoops into his stomach. Again. Like every other time he hears the word. He takes an embarrassingly long moment to collect himself, breathing out through his nose and ignoring the phantom tingling on the inside of his left thigh. It’s not happening.
__Or: the first words your soulmate ever says to you are inked somewhere on your body, if you're lucky. Against sense, this does not make things easier for Jean Moreau and Jeremy Knox.

Summary
Does anyone else care this much, Adi wonders sometimes. Amongst the countless collegiate Exy coaches, is there even one other that pours their entire well-being into their team the way that James Rhemann does?
If it were merely about winning, maybe that kind of unrelenting dedication would be understandable. But winning a game isn’t what’s important to James, and that’s either the best or worst part of it all, depending on your perspective. No, he’s far more sentimental and idealistic.
It’s a good thing they can’t have biological kids, Adi supposes. Not when they already have an entire Exy team full of them.

Neil is the most attractive person Andrew has ever seen in his entire life. Too bad that Andrew can't express that fact (not opinion) properly to him. It all should be fine, it's not like Neil doesn't know he's hot, right?

Summary
Helping Jean Moreau heal is a game where Jeremy Knox feels the stakes are too high to even consider the thought of losing. Jean’s first game as a Trojan against Edgar Allan feels like even higher stakes. Falling in love with Moreau - well, those are the highest stakes of all.
“You are his Achilles’ heel,” Laila whispers, in the dark, and her words bleed straight into the empty places in Jeremy’s heart.
