    After Viktor’s parents die in a tragic accident, he finds himself forced to go to the one place he swore he’d never return to, the cave near the water with the mysterious doctor and his beloved, doomed Rio. Though it is a better alternative than begging on the streets or working in the mines or factories, Viktor beings to suspect that the doctor doesn’t have his best interests at heart and perhaps seems him as something closer to Rio than his apprentice.

    “Yeah, sorry, I guess?” JJ tries and John B snorts at him. “Well, you picked me off the ground and once you realized I really couldn’t walk straight, you kinda put your arm around me? You helped me inside, kept asking what happened. I couldn’t even answer ‘cause the only thing running through my head was ‘I didn’t know, I didn’t know.’”

    John B stops moving. “Know what?”
