Summary
Yeonjun hadn’t been intending to snoop, but it wasn’t his fault that Soobin had left his phone face-up within his eye-line while he went to the bathroom. Yeonjun turned his head slightly, taking a surreptitious peek at the screen.
hey, cutie! im so glad you got my number ;)
Yeonjun froze, spoonful of cereal pausing halfway to his mouth. He didn’t think that Soobin actually did anything with the numbers he got at music shows and the like, had never considered that maybe Soobin was actually messaging people outside of his group and his small circle of friends. But the exclamation mark. And the winky face. There was no way that was just friendly. That meant that there was only one other possibility, only one logical conclusion that Yeonjun could draw.
Soobin fucks.
And it was sending Yeonjun into a crisis.

Summary
One thing that Seokjin’s learned after knowing Yoongi for so long is that if he doesn’t want to talk about it, he really doesn’t want to talk about it, and he’ll do anything and everything to dodge the conversation. It’s why it’s so frustrating to deal with him sometimes; he never wants to talk about things, and if Seokjin’s being honest, he too doesn’t want to talk about things, which means that it’s highly possible for the both of them to just exist beautifully in Not-Talking-About-Things harmony. Hoseok and Namjoon have told them repeatedly that it isn’t healthy or mature for them to be acting like this, which is why Seokjin, being the older one, is out here trying his best.
But Yoongi is stubborn on good days and a downright pain in the ass on bad ones, and after three more times shooting down Seokjin’s attempts to talk about it, Seokjin decides to do what any self-respecting man would:
He talks to his girlfriend about it.
(Or: College AU where Yoongi writes an unhinged pining song, and Seokjin just can't get it out of his head.)

Summary
"So apparently they aren’t coming,” Soobin said flatly as Yeonjun walked back up to their table, phone tightly grasped in his hand.
“Yeah,” Yeonjun parroted, pissed. “Taehyun-ah said this is him inciting ‘tough love’ and that we need to ‘get along,’ what bullshit,” he glanced back down at the flat and unimpressed look painted over Soobin’s face as the artist slowly slid back into the booth across from him.
They sat in charged silence for a moment, neither quite sure which direction to move next. So Soobin took the lead, “if you want to leave I understand.” He hoped more than anything that providing Yeonjun an out would be the easiest and quickest way for the night to end without inevitably blowing up in his face. Yet, much to his surprise, Yeonjun didn’t immediately stand to leave. Instead, he sat a little further down into his seat as he chewed on his bottom lip, arms coming up to cross over his chest.
“Well,” he sighed deeply as if he couldn't believe he was about to say his next words. “We're already here.”
(ie: the worst possible thing that could ever come out of spilling your coffee on a stranger.)

Summary
The solution comes to him suddenly, a belated epiphany after one night of particularly late practice, staring up at the ceiling for so long in the dark that he starts to see shapes in it. It hits him hard, a clean break down the middle, a rupture that shines clarity on all the things he's spent the majority of this time contemplating. This unruly part of him that insists on being right, that denies the truth, that twists itself up into knots trying to adhere to everything he thinks Yeonjun would do– it has to go.
No one ever hears about the act that starts it all. The pull, the snip, the removal of an undesired scrap. There is only the uncertainty of before, and then the aftermath. And that, too, is slow to catch up with them.
