Summary
Sunshine on eyelashes. Sunshine… filtering through tightly-shut lids, tinging the vision with pinkish skin-red. Warmth trickling down the spine, like syrup off the bark of a maple tree. Cold fingers. A faint tickle, an itch at the right ankle where the cotton trousers rub against the leg. The hair on the arm rises, despite the long overcoat and the three layers underneath.
Sunshine was… one of the first things that had been mourned, when life became forever-light.
Jimmy Novak wakes up with a wound in his (?) body. Jimmy Novak is not alone.

He questions Jimmy now though, they have no purpose to be among the humans browsing the seasoning aisle in search of basil. Their basket is full of miscellaneous food, for as much as Castiel has observed humanity, he can't seem to find a pattern to the items.
“We’re making tomato basil soup,” Jimmy explains, using a tone familiar to Castiel. Fond, guiding, never condescending like his brothers and sisters.
