Three weeks after Foggy wrote "Nelson, Murdock, and Page" on a new napkin, Matt, Karen, and Foggy are starting the new firm in the upstairs of Nelson's Meats. That means Matt can't put off moving back into his apartment any longer—an apartment that he may or may not have told Karen and Foggy he moved back into weeks ago.
It turns out, trying to sort out your affairs and come back to your old life after having a building fall on top of you, spending months recovering in a church basement, and being homeless isn't that easy. It's a little harder still when you're mentally unwell, sleep deprived, and blind.
Also... maybe Matt should have taken the whole hallucination thing more seriously.

I (40M) recently went into town to do some grocery shopping. My brother (44M) asked me to bring back some pie. I forgot the pie when I went in the supermarket and didn’t remember he’d asked for some until I was in a nearby vegan bakery I’d been wanting to check out for a while. I didn’t want to drive back to the grocery store just to get him pie and figured I’d just get him a snack at the bakery while I was there. They didn’t have pie, but there were some gluten free kale zucchini carrot banana muffins for sale that looked really tasty, so I just grabbed one of those.

I (17 but really 27 M) just moved in with Roommate #1 (18 but really 41 M) and Roommate #3 (who cares, kinda old, M). It’s only been a few days, but I’ve already glimpsed my future as The Buffer, the Band-Aid child, and look, I’ve had some experience doing that as a ghost with Roommate #1 and Roommate #2 and the whole experience was just 0/10, definitely do not recommend, so I really think I should tell #3 why #1 is so mad at him. We’re past sad and moving straight into pathetic at this point– #3 just stands there looking like his puppy got run over, and it would be heartbreaking, but he’s just so dumb, you know?

Giving his father one final look that conveys nothing and everything at the same time, the boy steps back toward his bed and climbs into it, pulling the covers up and turning away from John.
John swallows, arm dropping to his side in defeat. He stares at Dean’s small form curled up on the bed for a long time. At some point, he dazedly stumbles over to the other bed in the room and drops down.
His last thought before sleep takes him is of Sammy sleeping on in the crib in the corner, as oblivious to his father’s absence in the past hour as he was to the fact that his mother was gone forever and he would never get her back.
