    It’s been a few days since the new neighbour moved in when Ed stands at his bedroom window one morning, staring in baffled amusement at the window directly opposite him. A sign is stuck to the inside of the glass panes, with “YOUR CAT IS GORGEOUS! WHAT IS THEIR NAME?” written in large letters on it. Next to the words is a drawing of a fluffy blob with big eyes. Ed squints. It’s terrible, almost offensive to his cat’s real beauty, yet he can’t help but find it weirdly cute.

    Ed befriends his new neighbour through means of letters stuck to their windows. Things do not go as planned.
