“Sorry,” Percy said, still trying to clear the dust from his nose. “I took the chance to grab a few things that were still at my mom’s place. Estelle’s getting older, she needs the space my stuff was taking up, and my old apartment was too small to bring everything without turning it into a complete mess.”
“Your apartment was already a mess,” Nico muttered with a huff.
“Hey! I wasn’t expecting visitors that day, and you caught me while I was rearranging things — of course it was going to be a mess,” Percy defended himself.
Nico rolled his eyes, glancing at the floor panel. “Sure, Perseus. But you’re going to have to keep the mess confined to your own room if you’re living with me.”
OR
Somehow, Percy ends up sharing an apartment with Nico during his gap year, and he soon realizes Nico is far better company than he initially thought.
And then all their friends seem to think they’re dating.
