Summary
The red-headed ranger was everything he was, and everything he wasn't. Sharp-shooting, quiet, and the biggest bleeding heart in all of Baldur's Gate, Sequoia was dangerous in a way Astarion hadn't experienced before. With a heart he could hardly hear beating and a stoic expression that rarely cracked, every defense vanished from his hands as she undid him piece by piece. Like pages of a book fluttering to the ground in turn.
"Are you hoping to scare me off?" she asked.
He knew the answer to his own question before it lashed from his tongue. “Is it working?”
The ranger closed the distance between them, and he could feel the heat emanating from her in waves. Temptation of her daunting, rushing blood far more suffocating than the humidity would ever be.
"It'll take a lot more than that."
