Based loosely upon the Reptilia28 'Don't Fear the Reaper' challenge, but not entirely compliant.
After dying to Voldemort, Harry's journey to the afterlife is interrupted with a strange opportunity - return to his childhood and try to fulfill his destiny, only this time with considerably more assistance. He'll have access to the memories of his past life, as well as an entirely new way to see the world based upon muggle video games to help 'guide' him to his true Destiny!
Of course, since he's getting all this help, the Powers That Be might just decide that there's more than just Voldemort that they want Harry to deal with!
A mix of my love for Time Travel Fix-Its, the LitRPG/GameFic genre, and one of my favorite story prompts.

Alphard blinked up at him. “Who did what?”
“Tom Riddle,” Harry sneered. “Who does he think he is ordering me around, telling me what to eat and when to study? I’m eight—sixteen years old!” he amended. “He’ll be trying to issue a bloody bedtime next!”
Alphard looked confused. “Tom? I didn’t even know you knew each other.”
“He assigned himself to be my bloody mentor,” Harry grumbled. “Like I need a babysitter.”
Alphard’s mouth dropped open. “Tom is your alpha? But he’s never taken an omega before!”
Harry winced at what he was pretty sure were sex terms. “No. I’m not calling him that.”
