Summary
this is my exploration of graces life on Erid and all of the accommodations and such he would need and also me fixing some of the stuff i don't like in the last chapter of the book (there ain't no way rocky would let grace sleep alone.)
---
Adrian and I were going to go to a performance later; if you'd like to come?""Yeah, as long as you don't mind me ruining date night," I agree.
"You know we don't mind," Rocky says. "It will be long," he warns.
"I don't mind; the suit's actually comfy." This is a lie. The xenonite suit I wear when I have to leave the dome is not nice to wear, like a mix between an EVA suit and plate armor. But hey, it lets me go outside without being crushed to death, so it's fine.
"Alright, it will start at λλλℓℓ," Rocky informs me, right as Adrian returns from their room. "Grace is coming," he shares with them.
Adrian tilts their carapace a bit. "We will leave at V+λℓℓ then, so Grace has time to pick up rocks."

Summary
Saviour-Grace’s eating habits are the latest craze on Erid.
Surprisingly, Grace didn’t mind this fact, he sorely missed the little diner breakfasts that plagued his wallet and coloured his mornings back on Earth.Unfortunately, restaurants and Eridians don’t tend to go hand-in-claw.
Or: Grace gets a dinner date, Eridian-made-bacon, and a racy calendar based off his eating activities– hey, at least it’s going to charity.

Summary
The engineer takes my hand. His skin runs hot. Very hot. He doesn't let go at what I would gauge as a socially-acceptable handshake time interval. Are we just holding hands in the middle of the lab-workshop space? Guess we are.
"I'm Rocky," he finally introduces himself. He has a hint of an accent, something lilting, melodic. I can't really place it.
"Rocky," I repeat, slowly. "Like the movies?"
"No," Rocky deadpans, giving me a look like I'm stupid. "Like the rocks."

Summary
When the burger factory was first commissioned, I was promised it would be for therapeutic cloning only. Muscle tissue for meburgers; organs if I needed them; but no experimenting with brain tissue. And absolutely no reproductive cloning – that is, making a whole other me. My provisions were ratified by the Eridian legislative body over a decade ago, and it's the reason I gave up my stem cells willingly – well, that, and I missed meat. A lot.
I mean, I miss hugs too, but not so badly I would condemn another human to live his entire life inside this dome with me. Don't get me wrong, I like Erid; I'm happy here. But to never know Earth, to only have yours truly for human company… that's a pretty raw deal. I couldn't conscience bringing a new life into the wrong world – and neither could my Eridian hosts.
Or so I thought.
