Summary
This is a slow-paced, heavily altered adaptation of Baldur’s Gate 3 with Astarion as the imperfect, dramatic, and exceptionally vigilant narrator. It is gory, action-packed, and slow to build, with the main story taking a backseat to a character-driven and character-focused narrative set in the vast and dangerous land of Faerun. Gale Dekarios leads a group of misfits and weirdos along a path full of peril, loss, healing, and whimsy, seeking both a cure to the tadpoles in their skulls and to heal from the scars that haunt them.
Oh yeah, and Astarion accidentally falls for an idiot of a wizard he only meant to use for his revenge.

“Karlach is mine,” Zariel growls. “You have helped her to evade my clutches for long enough. After her work with the Absolute, I need her for my Blood War. The demonic horde crawls closer, and I grow angrier."
Zariel pauses, considering. Her glare burns Delyria’s skin.
"I know how fond you and your allies are of each other. I also know Astarion Acunín is of particular importance to you, Just Delyria. I traded seven thousand and one souls for his, and I will give it to you, on the condition that you bring me Karlach. Alive.”
The Archdevil's voice has a sharp edge to it. It promises pain.
Horror twists in Delyria’s chest, choking her lungs.
“If you’ve truly been watching, you already know our answer,” Shadowheart says. Her face is pale. “We won’t trade one of us for the other.”
“No,” Delyria whispers, her mind struggling to make sense of her reality. There’s a chance to bring Astarion back. To heal the evils of the Vampire Ascendant.
At the cost of her dearest friend.
Her heart aches.-----

Summary
When he wakes up, he's not himself. Not that he can remember what being 'himself' even means. All he has is a pounding headache and a name, 'The Dark Urge'.
Oh, and memories of the real world and over 500 plus hours of playtime in Baldur's Gate 3.
Now he's stuck inside the game, with no idea how he got there or what the fuck is going on. And very quickly, he'll realise that the real world of Faerun is nothing like the game. Shit hurts, there's no maps, fast travel, or save scumming. And people are far more complicated than simple video game characters.
If he can keep himself alive and make it through this, perhaps there's something waiting for him in Faerun, a life he can build for himself. But the urge is just as real as everything else, and it's out for blood.
All he wants is to find his freedom before the game kills him or the urge overtakes him.
