Summary
“Leave her alone!” A boy cries, clutching the doorframe to the bedroom. He’s not very young, but he’s no older than thirteen, and wearing a drab shirt that reaches his ankles. His stony eyes barely shine through his brown hair, tangled in a mess no better than his mother’s. Alva almost gasps when he recognizes him.
“Are you… Luca?” He murmurs. He barely remembers Luca Balsa, the son of Herman. Alva met the boy once as a baby, before Herman and him practically locked themselves in their workshop to persist in inventing the impossible. He hadn’t seen him growing up and could’ve never known the striking resemblance he would have to his father. He wonders if Luca knows.
-----
AU where Luca gets mentored by Alva before he even runs away. This fic is just how it happens. Split into two chapters for Alva and Luca POV.

Summary
In folklore, the red string of fate connects two people who are soulmates. When he doesn’t feel like scouting reality, Akechi will follow the string in the Metaverse through the endless corridors and tunnels underneath Shibuya. He’d consider it pathetic, if only he wasn’t so morbidly curious as to what kind of degenerate had the misfortune of being his soulmate.

Summary
"How about a hidden crush, huh? Anything like that?"
It was a tactless question, and Akira regretted it the moment it was out of his mouth. It must've caught Akechi off-guard too, because he simply stared at Akira for a moment, delicate eyebrows raised.
"Are we really having a 'relationship' conversation, Kurusu?"
