His mouth fell open, and he snorted, which evolved into full-out laughter. ‘I’m sorry. Oh my god - friends?’
Diana felt a little hurt on Batman’s behalf. ‘Are you not his friend?'
He shook his head. ‘Did B really not say anything? I’m hurt. No, I’m not his friend. I’m his son.’
(An AU where the Justice League haven't met any of Bruce's kids.)

The most beautiful woman she’d ever seen in her life leaned into her vision. She had to be an angel, a goddess, something ethereal.
And then the woman smiled at her and-
And it was-
All Lan Zhan could do was stare in awe at the most brilliant, perfect, room-brightening smile she’d ever seen in her life. She had to know-
“Who are you?” She croaked out, voice cracking with disuse.
The woman’s hand faltered in her hair just the slightest bit, but perceptible to Lan Zhan, and her smile dropped a fraction before morphing into something teasing and indulging.
“Ahhh Lan Zhan, I should’ve known the anesthesia would hit you just like alcohol,” she teased, brushing at the side of her nose. “How could you forget your Wei Ying?” she said with an exaggerated pout.

Lan Zhan’s eyes flew over her once more, clocking the rings on most of her fingers and snagging on one that had been Lan Zhan’s mother’s, now sitting on her left ring finger, and with the way the woman- Wei Ying- smiled at her and touched her freely-
