Summary
Severely injured and confused, Genichiro wakes up in a field of silver grass. He can't recall how he got there, and, worse still, his entire past is shrouded in thick fog. With the last of his strength, he drags himself into a dilapidated temple, where he meets a silent man with dark, melancholy eyes. Genichiro does not remember ever having seen him before, and yet … there is something about this man that is eerily familiar to him.
Or: the one where Genichiro survives and loses his memories; where he and Wolf don’t have to kill each other and therefore … get the chance to find out just how similar they really are.

Every summer, Naruto visits the sleepy beach town of Oceanview. Easily the best part of the trip is the carnival, set up for three days at the end of August. As summers pass, Naruto finds himself coming back again and again to see the boy at the end of the boardwalk. First, he wants to win the game the boy runs, but it turns into wanting to win Sasuke's heart instead. For some reason, Naruto just can't get him out of his head.
