Luck was a notion that Vox rejected with all of his might.
“What great luck is it that Mr. Sinclair wants to talk with you today!” Tom Trench said to him with a smile on his face (that really had no business being there). “That can only mean something swell, huh Vox?”
Vox paid no heed to his stupidly grinning coworker as he walked past. He fought the smirk that attempted to edge its way onto his lips. It was hard for him not to revel in Trench’s blind worship or the envied whispers of the newsroom as he made his way to the director’s office. There was no such thing as luck for Vox. They look like they were assaulted. Looking up at the villain, swaying slightly as they’re close to passing out, they mumble “...didn’t know where else to go…” then they collapse into the villain’s arms.

Shouto glanced down at his hands (one of which was still joined with Midoriya's but Shouto decided it would be weird to point it out and let it be) then looked back up at Midoriya.
“What were you trying to ask me?”
Midoriya's flushed a little.
“Er, well I was wondering if you were free after school, which is now I guess, because there's this new ice cream shop near my house, but I never did ask if you even liked ice cream so I totally understand if you don't want to go, that was stupid of me I shouldn't have just assumed that you would want any, or even that you would want to go with me-”
Shouto slapped his free hand over Midoriya's mouth making the babbling boy's eyes go wide.
“Midoriya, I would lo- like, I would like to get ice cream with you, it would be my pleasure.”
