Ever since Duncan's started walking, MacCready hasn't felt his life slow down. All he does is work and make sure his son's taken care of. No time to think about exes, no time to think about what the Gunners are up to, and no time to compare his own childhood to what Duncan's.
Then Princess comes knocking on the door. Now MacCready has to take care of his past and his future.

Summary
Raul's good with mechanics. Clocks, engines, and air conditioners are all things he understands. Electronics aren't things he understands. Fixing radios and robots are beyond what he capable of. Rebuilding the confidence of a child is something he's even less familiar with but somehow he's done it.
Today he has a doctor's appointment. It's also his last day of being Carly's sole guardian, but he doesn't know that.

Summary

MacCready is down on his luck, recently divorced, and raising a toddler completely alone. Out of desperation, he asks Hancock for a job. Out of pity, Hancock gives him a trial run. Fahrenheit is a bitch, has always been one, and prides herself on that. Then she comes around to the idea.

Summary
The concept of more official merchandise makes Loid feels sick. People are making a living off of this awful show, making a mockery of what WISE does. Anya even has a Bondman doll in her room. She refuses to take it out of the box because that's how her classmates at Eden play with toys. Loid tries to imagine what he was doing at her age, if the child he was would have ever done something like that. He can't imagine passing up the chance for the simple joy of opening a new toy, between the horrors of war.
Handler laughs mid drink, "Don't let Anya hear you say that. She's just started middle school; she's more of a teenager than a child."
(It's hard enough being a psychic and in middle school. It's even harder to be that and know your life is a lie)
