Makkachin continues wagging his tail with vigour while he shuffles up the bed, untangling the legs of his two owners until he can settle firmly between their warm, too-still bodies. Now his tail smack, smack, smacks against Victor’s thigh, Yuuri’s stomach.
“Makkachin.” Victor chuckles, a breathless thing punched out of him in half-awake incredulity. “What’s the point of retirement if we can’t sleep in?”

Summary
The pond isn’t far, not really, but it’s far enough that a quiet restlessness tingles under his skin as Barbatos continues quietly making a musical accompaniment to their jaunt. It’s strange, how different he is from Morax.
Obviously Xiao does not know Barbatos, but Morax would never whistle while covered in enough mud to craft an entire earthenware set. Morax wouldn’t giggle and twirl a braid as he speaks, wouldn’t speak so flippantly to a fellow warrior who is known for retched bloodshed.
Barbatos, however, is everything Morax is not. There is power, of course—even Xiao can feel it, underneath the innocent facade—but the stark difference between how the Geo and Anemo Archons hold themselves… it’s as contrasting as these elements themselves.
Xiao finds himself… not hating it.

He was caught on one word that Sokka had said. Engaged. His mind latched onto that, and conjured up images of rings and a wedding. Marriage.
Sokka kept talking, but Zuko couldn’t hear him over the blood roaring in his ears. If he had been engaged to marry an American citizen, he wouldn’t have to go back to Japan and wait to refile for another work visa. He could stay here, and never have to see his father again.
Zuko’s gaze roamed over Sokka. He wasn’t married, or seeing anyone, Zuko knew that. Sokka always complained about being single, and the one time he had gone on a date in their past several years of working together, Sokka hadn’t shut up about it for a week. Zuko would know if Sokka was currently seeing anyone, and he wasn’t.
There it was. His way out.
aka Zuko and Sokka decide to get fake married so Zuko doesn't get deported, but they have to go through a weekend in Sokka's hometown pretending to be a couple for his family before they can do it

The prince blushes harder. He really is quite sweet, like a little tigerdillo kitten trying to act fierce. Sokka may have to keep him.
Instead of trying to fight Zuko during the second episode, Sokka does the one thing he’s actually good at- He flirts.
Poor Zuko doesn’t stand a chance.

Summary
He leaves the drive-thru and enters the main parking lot. He’s about to leave and drive back home when he spots another car parked in the lot. The lights of the car are off, except for a light inside the car, and Sokka catches a quick glimpse of a guy in a red sweater, drinking a milkshake.
Sokka really does not want to be alone with his thoughts right now, so he decides, on a whim, that he’s gonna try and talk to this guy who also apparently had a breakdown tonight.
“Hi, I’m Sokka,” he introduces. “So, I had a breakdown earlier tonight, and I’ve been informed by the all too caring drive-thru staff that I’m not the only one who’s come through after a breakdown, and I’m guessing that other person is you. So, I was wondering if you wanted to come sit on the curb with me and talk about our problems while we have our sweets.”
Or, Sokka and Zuko keep meeting in a McDonald's parking lot and bond through their mutual breakdowns. Turns out, it's easy to spill your heart to a stranger in the middle of the night and create a bond that lasts even in the daylight.
