Summary
The Eclipse Cannon Incident was mentally and emotionally taxing for everyone involved. The fate of the world was at stake, and Sonic and friends barely pulled through, losing a rival and potential friend in the process. After all that, Heyu is ready to relax at home with a minimum of fuss and worry.
The minimum of fuss isn't none, however, not when you live in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Between Humi's expanding tech base and new neighbors moving in, things aren't likely to be quiet for long.
And maybe that's not a bad thing.

Or: Six people have been living their normal lives, entirely unaware of the copies of their consciousness trapped in a brightly-coloured digital hellscape. Summary
The absence of Caine, unfortunately, makes way for something worse. Out of pure desperation, the gang rescues him from deletion in hopes he can save them from being deleted too.
Caine gets another chance to prove himself, though he's not sure he wants to, and he still doesn’t understand how it all went so wrong in the first place.
Nobody really wants to die here. Nobody really has much of a choice on how to make that happen. And certainly, nobody is really happy with their former tormentor(s).
But…any port in a storm, right? And maybe with a little patience and effort and compassion, they can all learn to just...live.
