Summary

Girl meets boy. Boy meets girl. Boom, they fall in love and live happily ever after. That's how the story goes. But this isn't a fairytale and Katara isn't a princess. She's just a regular, degular, shmegular girl. And the prince? Well, he's caught between trying to find himself and continuing a legacy.
A modern, nonbending, AU where Zuko is good, Ozai isn't an evil dictator, and Azula isn't mentally ill or on the verge of a breakdown. Uncle Iroh is still Uncle Iroh.

Summary
It was a brilliant plan, all things considered.
On paper and in the eyes of the public, they were a charming if oddly mismatched couple who somehow found love despite their differences. A fairy tale come to life, sighed the more romantic members of Ba Sing Se society.
So it was almost a shame that Katara's courtship with Prince Zuko was ultimately nothing more than an act - otherwise, they might have been a perfect match, if not the perfect partners in crime.

Summary
When the next letter arrived, Zuko let it sit on his desk for a whole day before opening it, as if somehow Sokka would sense, a continent away, that he was still pretty pissed about Sokka trying to rope Iroh into this whole festival visit insanity. Finally, his point proven to literally no one except himself, Zuko waited until after a long bending practice, then a full bath, before he casually picked up the letter and broke the seal.

OR:
Zuko has been Fire Lord for six years when Sokka starts trying to convince him to attend the Spring Gift festival at Wolf Cove, and Sokka isn’t taking no for an answer.
