Summary
After graduating, Aizawa Shouta rented a broken down basement apartment, threw his heart away, and shut everyone out. That was how he lived for two years—isolated in an unheated apartment with no possessions and no life outside of hero work. It was the logical choice. That was what Shouta told himself every night.
Then he reconnected with Hizashi, who managed to reach his missing heart, and everything came tumbling down.
For two years, Shouta thought he was fine. But for those two years, Shouta was just spiraling further and further down. One thing became clear: Shouta couldn't take care of himself and the problems he always had were just becoming more apparent. Shouta never understood himself and he always knew that there was something wrong, but that was never so obvious as it was now. After seeing his rundown apartment, Hizashi has him move in so he can help him understand himself and both he and Shouta start on the long journey of sorting everything out—from the mess inside Shouta's head to the lost relationship they once had, bit by bit.

Steve was asleep on his side, one arm wrapped securely around Tony like a living seatbelt, the other hand resting protectively over Tony’s stomach. Even unconscious, Steve Rogers guarded what was his.
Tony, meanwhile, was very awake.
Very emotional.
And very, very focused on one thing.
“…Strawberries,” Tony whispered into the darkness.
Steve did not respond.
Tony sniffed.
“…Steve.”

Tony pointed at him from Steve’s arms. “I need strawberries.”Bucky squinted. “…Is this a code.”
Tony wailed. “I CAN’T LIVE IN A WORLD WITHOUT STRAWBERRIES.”
Bucky rubbed his face. “I’m going to steal from a store.”
Steve nodded. “Go.”
Thor raised his hammer. “I shall scour Midgard.”
Rhodey grabbed his jacket. “This is the dumbest mission I’ve ever been on.”
Tony sniffed, watching them leave. “…I love you guys.”
