Until spirit guides urge Fire Prince Zuko to open his own and prevent a tragedy to come. His awakening conscience guides Zuko on a new path along the Avatar. But is it worth it? Or did it only give him so much more to lose?
As it turns out, his guides are not the only ones with their own agenda in the spirit world. And the other travellers would like nothing more than see him fail.______
Since the question has come up so often in the comments, yes, Aang is exactly as he is supposed to be and the reason is not Aang-bashing. Also, there is no definite chapter count because I like the freedom to let the characters explore their challenges and they always take longer than I thought. The plot in itself is set. -

The expedition to the Southern Water Tribe goes awry when Zuko suddenly finds himself in the body of a Water Tribe girl.
Katara is not sure why she and the prince of the Fire Nation continue to swap bodies, but she will certainly not let him take the Avatar.
They both were fools to think getting to know each other wouldn't have consequences. -

Katara had almost forgiven Zuko for breaking her heart right before finals. And this evening could have been the cusp of something new, had not the force of plot driven them apart once more. Now, a stressed Fire Lord and confused Sokka have to find out who brainwashed their respective significant others.
An alternate take on "Purr" by sparrowkeet1 because I always thought Zuko and Suki got off the hook a little too easy.

Canon Universe/Crack Utopia with a hefty dose of character growth and therapy for everyone in need, featuring Zuko on a motorcycle, Katara drinking coffee at 4AM and Sokka getting arrested for plundering the cookie jar. Ozai was and stays an asshole.

“She's not my girlfriend!” Zuko says. And then, faced with June's judgmental gaze, he does what he does best: he panics and stops thinking. “She's my fiancée!”
Or: A moment of panic causes Zuko to lie. The temporary lie proves so useful that he starts lying more often. Somewhere along the way, Katara decides to play along.
