Layla approaches Scara with a book and a hope that she can help him where she was failed. Scara doesn't want that help. Someone else does. Sethos helps him unravel the tangled mess he never knew was there, and in it he finds himself and more.

    Or, alternatively: it's all fun and games until there's more of you! An exploration of how messy self-discovery can be when there's more than one self, written from experience.

    Dex calculated in his head every possible way for this to go wrong. Tried thinking of alternative moves. "What would Matt do?" He mumbles to himself, then wanders away from the paper that is clouding his mind.

    Matt would probably do what he thinks is best, even if he hated that person with every fiber of his being. So in this scenario he would look at his options and weight them based on a sense of duty. Right now, Dex wanders aimlessly, no goal, no purpose, no where to aim. Most of all, no one to command him when to shoot. But if he goes with this Allegra de Fontaine he would have all of that.. But does she want him to shoot at the right things?

    Or

    Dex joins the Thunderbolts.

    Avery felt his heart lurch as it began pounding faster and faster. His eyes flew open, and just as he was about to turn his head left, a dark and gentle hand caught him by the chin, tilting Avery’s face back forwards so he couldn’t see him. See /Derek./

    “D-derlord?” Avery stammered out, his breath catching as the coldness of Derek’s fingers seeped into the sun-warm skin of his face. A low chuckle sounded out, making Avery’s stomach churn in a new and pleasant way.
