That’s their unspoken system. It’s been their system ever since high school: if Shōta should conk out for whatever reason, Hizashi will drop everything he’s doing and take him home. At first, Shōta had found it a little irritating; he can make it home on his own, he doesn’t need someone watching over him. But after some time, he found himself not minding the company so much.
And soon, he began to enjoy it.
