Eddie was running.
He was running as fast as he could through the forest, his thin shift getting caught on branches and brambles as he fled. He ignored the sharp stabs of pain in his bare feet as he caught rocks and tree roots underfoot, it didn’t matter about that temporary pain; if he was caught by those alphas again he would be in a for much worse pain, with no end in sight other than death.

Eddie was kidnapped by omega traders from his small village Forest Hills. He manages to escape and (literally) runs into Steve. A kind, but powerful, Prime Alpha in the woods. Eddie finds himself drawn to his mysterious host, if only Steve would stop being so damn chivalrous for one moment and actually listen to him.

Summary
1996, St. Fitzgerald’s Hospital. Eddie Munson has been languishing in the long-term care ward for over six months, with no hope and no chance of escape in sight. That all changes the day the handsome, furious stranger is committed alongside him. There's something different about Steve, and while Eddie initially finds him frightening, the two of them form a quick and intense bond. When Steve promises that they're going to break out, Eddie believes him.
What Eddie doesn't realize is that Steve isn't just different, he's a monster. The kind that grows fangs and claws and hungers for flesh on the full moon. At least, he used to, until he found the drug that keeps him human. The trouble is, the hospital has taken his drugs away... and the full moon is approaching...

All of these things Steve can deal with. He can handle sharp teeth and claws. He can handle wings and horns and tails. He’s fought monsters more times than he can count. What he can’t handle, however, is who all these features belong to.
