Summary
The Doctor is still talking to Yaz when The Master leaves, both of them whispering in the room with the mirror (“are you saying we’re now on the Solitract plane?”). He turns away, stamping down the jolt of emotion he’d felt hearing her mention Gallifrey, even so indirectly.
And finds her standing on the steps, eyes wild.
How would the Solitract have tricked The Master if he'd been in its plane?

Summary
He’s never hated her more, not in all their lives. Not when he’d burned through all his regenerations and was living on anger alone. Not when he’d woken at the end of the universe to the sound of the drums. He hates that she’s so much of his life, and he’s so little of hers. Hates that he misses her. Hates that he wants her. Wants her mouth against his, wants her mind, wants her skin under his teeth, his hands around her neck, her hands in his hair.
Snippet from the companion!O au which has been rotating in the microwave of my brain for months now. I am taking him apart and putting him back together worse.

Summary
Now there’s a mental image. Hermann at the centre of a dance floor. Maybe the movement would dislodge the stick stuck up his ass. Maybe he’d smile. More likely, he’d tell the place to ‘turn the volume to a civilised level, for Christ’s sake’.
“I was collecting some notes,” There’s an edge of defensiveness to Hermann’s tone that makes Newt want to poke it and see if he bleeds. In the generous spirit of the season, he reigns it in.
“Hot math date for the New Year?” Well, reigns it in a bit, anyway.
“Shut up,” There’s no real heat to the admonishment.~~~~~~~~

Summary
“I’m gonna miss this,” Buck adds, his tone sincere. Oh. Okay, they’re doing that now, huh. Eddie stops at the traffic light ahead and glances over at him. Buck’s expression is soft, caught up in something Eddie would almost call nostalgia.
“Same,” he admits.“I mean technically, I think you’re my longest lasting relationship.”
Buck’s expression shutters,
“You don’t mean that.” Buck says, voice tight.Or: When the 118 is closed for budget purposes, Buck and Eddie look for other options and worry over staying together.

[“Behold,” he said, four raps against the arch of the cathedral door, grinning terribly, “I stand at the door and knock.”
Her lip curled with disgust.

Summary
[“We must all drink our medicine, Narvin,” she said softly. When he finally put his eyes to her again, she was looking far off into the ornamental plants, the pruned and plucked magentas, the fractal silver spirals of manicured ulanda.
We must all file our Schedule ⍺s, he didn’t say, with great difficulty. Only you seem to have avoided that for every year of your life, by some great stroke of luck or will or spirit.]
Gallifrey is still suffering from the aftershocks of a civil war nobody can remember fighting, but even the perils of post-conflict democratization are no match for the Office of Internal Revenue. In which Leela solves everyone’s problems, Romana battles corruption, famine, elite capture, and herself (not necessarily in that order), and Narvin desperately tries to backfile Leela’s taxes without breaking the web of time. All in a day’s work.
