Summary
What’s real is this, this grime that covers her. It sneaks underneath her fingernails, infecting the crescents she carves into her palms. It soaks into her greasy hair, all through the strands that cling to her forehead against her will. No matter how many times she re-ties it, she can still feel the filth clouding her thoughts. It’s tangled into her leg hairs, a dirt wall between her skin and clothes. It has entered her every breath so frequently that she’s grown accustomed to the smell. She barely even notices it anymore, yet it’s all she can think of.

Summary
Obviously, he doesn’t mean it literally. Between the two of them, how he meant it shouldn’t be a question. When Archie wants something like that, he looks up at Reggie as pathetically as possible and dots his sentences with pleas. That’s one part of their dynamic he’d like to hold onto forever, if possible. The only context in which he would ever order Reggie to “suck his dick” would be through one of their usual insults. It was obviously a joke.
Reggie doesn’t take it that way.

It’s too far, way too far for her to reach over and take it. The glass sits a full couch cushion away. She’s not sure how she thought she’d be able to get it in the first place. Maybe she thought she could subtly scooch over? But no, it’s too far for that. She’d have to get up and move in order to obtain it. As in, move Cheryl’s head off her lap.
She looks back at the glass, then back at Cheryl. Then back at the glass, then back at Cheryl. Hydration, or her girlfriend? She already knows which is more important to her.

This episode of her mother’s show will have a drastically different ending than planned. The cameras are already stationed around the nave, waiting to capture her happiest moment. Soon, the whole world will see her in her wedding dress, making vows to Chadwick. What they won’t see is Veronica’s perspective, picturing Betty standing across from her instead.
