“Don’t you think that’s a bit much?” He asks, straightening out his suit that’s since been rustled up from running and such, “The shadow play?”
Loki looks at him over his shoulder, and then there’s the glow of green as the illusions fade, revealing the real Loki, which was not the one Mobius was speaking to. Mobius laughs under his breath, maybe a little embarrassed but undoubtedly finding it kind of funny. Loki makes it seem so effortless, sometimes Mobius forgets they’re the god of mischief, but moments like this really make that title shine.
“I thought it was just fine.” Loki replies, their voice calm, smooth, like he’s totally unaffected by what’s happening. The shadows still hold X-5, and Mobius has to remind himself that they’re here for him as he looks Loki up and down.
Mobius scoffs, “Of course you did.”

Summary
Besides his dirty clothes, which have now been replaced with a plain t-shirt and blue jeans, both of which are Dean’s and therefore are too big for his frame, these trinkets are the only things Castiel has to call his own. Even the body he wears was taken, or rather given through misguided manipulation. These things are his and his alone.
