This story takes place as an aftermath to the events of the light novel, 'Osamu Dazai's Entrance Exam'; for anime viewers, after the 'Azure Apostle Arc'.
After seeing both, Sasaki and Rokuzo die, in front of him, unable to prevent such a bloody outcome, Kunikida's health takes a turn for the worse. His mind becomes a minefield, were he to be left to his thoughts for even a second, the images of their faces turning pale flashed around him. Due to this, he ended up letting his personal well-being deteriorate, over-working to rid himself of the dread and despair that follows him every vacant second. Noticing this predicament, Dazai takes it upon himself to help out his new partner. For something in his heart burns, making him take fault for how Kunikida turned out to be. But how does one assist a partner drowning in a void of darkness? Well the internet says, to lessen their responsibilities! Decided it was, and Dazai set out with a bag of supplies. Here comes Housekeeper Dazai, to take the world- or in this case, the Doppo household, by a storm!
