Yes, her “That’s all you're gonna eat?” After one of our first fights was blunt, but it wasn't mean. I looked down at her paper plate with a few orange chicken pieces on it, compared with Tyler’s plate stacked with chow mein, honey shrimp, green beans and egg rolls, one would think I was taking a hunger strike. Tyler stared at me for a moment longer before grabbing some more food out of the to-go containers, her chop-sticks being shoved back into her mouth. I couldn't help but stare at the way her lips wrapped around it, how her tongue flicked out to lick her greasy lips.
Tyler caught me staring, of course she did. Her eyes widened and she smirked, before grabbing chow mein with those chopsticks and slurping, not breaking eye contact. I bit her lip and looked down at her own measly plate before grabbing some beef and broccoli. Tyler’s gaze softened, her hand drifting over to my thigh and patting it once, twice. A grounding movement as I tried to eat my food.
