Summary
Will is a young gay man committed to Lazarus by his father. Traumatized and alone, he's assigned to Cell 44—right next to Cell 45, where Mike lives. Mike is infamous: violent, isolated, feared by patients and staff alike.
Through late night conversations, Will learns fragments of Mike—his sharp wit, his cruelty, his unexpected tenderness. Mike teaches Will to breathe through panic attacks after his traumatic conversion therapy sessions. But Mike also pushes Will away, warning him to stay distant, insisting nothing good comes from getting close to him. A psychological tension between horror and attraction, exploring whether a monster can be capable of tenderness—and whether Will's inability to fear Mike makes him brave, broken, or both.Bookmarked by MorgAlexis_bug

Summary
Mike and Will are at a video store picking out a movie for their movie night when Mike stumbles on the porn section and has the idea to watch porn with Will, who’s sceptical at first. Mike tells him to pick something he’ll be interested in and eventually convinces him, later that night after the rest of the party leave Mike watches gay porn with Will. It affects him more than he expected…
“Are you really sure you want to watch gay- uh you know. With your gay best friend, isn’t that weird?”
“How is it weird if I watched porn with Lucas and Dustin, how would it be any different?”
“I mean because- aren’t you worried I might get like I don’t know… get um… excited from it,” Will whispers that last part, looking anywhere except for Mike.
“You’re so shy about saying dirty words Will, it’s kinda cute,” it slips out before Mike can think about what he’s saying.
“Cute?” Will asks, appearing more red than before, his cheeks burning a bright fuchsia.
“Uh- Freudian slip, I uh.. meant to say that.. er– never mind. F– forget I said anything,” Mike stammers out.

Summary
"Mike, come on," Will says, his smile still mid-bloom. "You don't think that's a little weird?"
"No," Mike says simply. "Why would that be weird?"
"Because I'm—" Will gestures vaguely to himself. "Gay. And you're…"
Will trails off, stopping himself, as if it just occurred to him that he could be wrong about the way he planned to answer that sentence. Mike isn't sure how he'd answer it either.
High, he thinks. Will is gay and I am high.

Wills eyes are dazed slightly. They latch on to Mike anyways and he seems to sag with relief. The blood from Wills nose falls onto his lip. Into his mouth.
"That was- that was amazing!" Mike brings his sleeve up and wipes the blood away. He opens his arms and lets Will collapse against him, head resting on Mikes chest and Mike doesn't even think twice about how intimate it should feel.

Summary
Will looked all-powerful…like a god. Not the timid, quiet boy Mike had known since he was five. He has had confusing feelings ever since he had known Will, feelings that had slowly evolved over time, but something about this moment had locked an ever-shifting question mark into place.
When Will’s powers begin to change—no longer tied to decay, but to something alive—the group realizes they’re not just dealing with Vecna anymore. They’re dealing with something new. Something that shouldn’t exist.
As past secrets about Henry Creel come to light, a pattern begins to emerge: power doesn’t come from the Upside Down alone. It comes from what it takes from you—or what you refuse to let it take.
And when Mike finally says the words he’s been holding onto for years, something shifts.
Because Will isn’t just connected to the darkness.
He might be the thing that breaks it.Bookmarked by MorgAlexis_bug
