Nagito shifted under the covers. "Do you know René Descartes?"
“I guess.” Hajime furrowed his brows. “Cogito ergo sum.”
“Yes, cogito ergo sum.” Nagito echoed, “It’s a philosophical concept he reached by locking himself up in a room away from all distractions from society. Traditions, customs, obscurantism. His goal was to start from zero. Rebuild his whole philosophy from what he knew to be real. That’s where his first conclusion came from. I think therefore I am.”
“So... you’re changing your philosophy, then? What’s your new take on hope and despair?”
“I don’t know, Hinata-kun...” Nagito smothered himself with his own pillow. “So far, I’ve just been sleeping.”
After the Neo World Program, Nagito Komaeda pretends to be a philosopher by drowning in guilt and painkillers and locking himself up in a room until he figures out how he can make everyone forget about his miserable existence. Unfortunately for him, Hajime Hinata doesn't mind playing philosopher with him and clearly plans on doing something about his state.

Summary
After the Neo World Program ended, things seems to be a little dim and gloomy. Not for Nagito, though. He finally accepts that he's in love with Hajime and he's fine that Hajime will never love him back. This is until Hajime questions him.
Nagito kisses Hajime and leaves without explanation, leaving Hajime to wonder. Hajime goes after Nagito, but then what? What will come of these feelings? Will Hajime love him too?

Hitoshi shoulders past the door into the apartment as if he belongs there. He doesn't, not really, but he's tired of dragging it out.
He tried out staying late, tried to prepare himself for what would happen once he gets home, tried to slink in as silent as a mouse in hopes that no one would hear him and it never, ever works.
His foster mother meets him right at the door as if she knew he would come home that very second no matter what he does and so the end result is always the same.
