Summary
It takes Sasuke four long years to make peace with his past and understand who he truly is. It takes him half that time to figure out that he feels more than just friendship for Naruto. He is utterly and stupidly in love with the man. Returning to Konoha with his heart on a silver platter and the desire to tell Naruto how he feels, he is confronted with Naruto and Hinata being a couple.

When Naruto tells him that Hinata and him are getting married, Sasuke swallows down his feelings once and for all and decides to be who he’s always been: Naruto’s best friend. It was the right thing to do, wasn’t it…
When Naruto asks Hinata to marry him, he does so out of obligation and with the knowledge, that he does the right thing.

Summary
This isn’t something they had done before.
Naruto’s neck feels unbearably warm against Sasuke’s cheek as he’s pulled forcibly into an embrace, his irritated protests going largely ignored. It’s almost not really a hug so much as it is a cling, Naruto’s heels hitting Sasuke’s lower back, arm wrapping around Sasuke’s shoulders tightly. The shock of Naruto scrambling over onto his hospital bed isn’t enough to make the tears stop slipping down his cheeks, and he doesn’t have enough energy to truly resist – not that he truly wants to.
