“Hey, has someone helped you?” one of the bartenders asked, wiping his hands on a dirty rag that he draped over his shoulder.
“Supposedly.”
The man, whose nametag read ‘Larry’, sighed. “What can I get ya?”
“A vodka cherry with extra lime, ‘n a couple shots ‘f tequila for my… friend.”
The bartender nodded, turning his back to Angel for a few moments before handing him three shots of tequila.
“Thanks, Baby.”
The bartender nodded. He prepared Angel’s drink, then slid it across the bar. “What’s the name for the tab?”
“You can put it under ‘Valentino’.”
The man nodded again. He keyed the name into the computer. “You’re all set.”
“Thanks, Larry,” Angel purred, leaning across the bar to be a few inches from his face and wink.
Larry’s nose wrinkled and he scoffed, glancing down at his nametag as he muttered to himself and walked away.
