Summary
Even at the quietest time in the night, the streets below are sparkling wet from the rain and neon signs, nothing like the deep dark frustration inside while Bigby paces and pulls his hair. Snow hasn’t called him back, and what he deserves has never been aligned with what he’s wanted (to crawl into her arms at the end of the day like a deeply, deeply wounded animal, for example).
But he’s got to face her at work in the morning after doing just that. So yeah, self pity is in order.
(Or, despite the overwhelming volume of work and political bullshit that’s been put on Bigby and Snow’s shoulders within five fucking seconds of Crane leaving- Bigby swears it’s a cruel distraction to the much more appealing romantic subplot going on.)

Summary
As difficult it is to admit, it isn't easy being Bigby's friend. Harder still, to be Colin and also be Bigby's friend.
His prickly demeanor and snark comes naturally to him. It also happens to be his go-to thing with the Sheriff.
Why? Because it's easy. Because it's familiar. Because on good days Bigby would snark back and they'd have a good chuckle about it later.
But clearly this wasn't one of those days. Hell, nor were any other of his days recently.
Or, Colin worries about Bigby and Bigby just want to get at least two hours worth of sleep.

Summary
Takes place between the end of the Crooked Man's trial and the epilogue.
Bigby's been through hell and back over the last few days, and with the Crooked Man finally being marched off to face justice, he can't stop it all from catching up to him. Most of the rest of Fabletown is wrapped up in trying to get back on track, maybe even get on to a better track. But as he stumbles on the long walk back to his apartment just after the trial, Bigby finds that there's still someone there to pick him up and drag him the rest of the way.
Snow stops by later. She and Colin have a conversation, one that leaves Snow with even more to think about. But one thing's for certain - she's not about to let Crane's dire predictions come true. She's not going to give up the important things in her life without a fight.
