Ten years after the war ended, the Wizengamot pushes through a Marriage Law to address the plummeting birth rates in the Wizarding World. Tensions run high as old rivals are forced to negotiate marriage contracts and align themselves together to get enough votes to overturn the law. But not everyone is being honest, and more than one life hangs in the balance. How far will Ginny go to regain her freedom?
CW for domestic violence (not Drinny, a side coupling) - I will tag the chapter and section where it is revealed!
Fair warning that Ginny is not perfect in this fic. There will be a point where you are very angry with her (and others) treatment of Hermione. This situation is going to test some friendships like never before, but there is a very good reason for the rift, and it will be mended. We are leaning on the hotheaded Ginny and loyal to a fault Hermione tropes.
