The satyr twisted his head around fast enough that there was a real concern for whiplash and Yuuji’s stuttering words died in his mouth. Sukuna gazed down at the two of them, impassive. Yuuji turned a deeper shade of red and the satyr gazed skyward, his mouth dropped open in surprise. Sukuna towered over them menacingly, though it was unintentional. It was hard to not be menacing when he stood nearly nine feet tall with a twenty-four-foot long tail coiled beneath him. Though he’d traded his battle armor for a business suit, it still gave him a commanding air. It was out of memory for humans and plenty of non-humans and creatures, but the stories of the Mariliths - the six-armed demon warriors of the Abyss - still persisted, even in modern times. And there was no mistaking Sukuna for anything else other than what he was.
“Wha-what?” The satyr swallowed hard enough that Sukuna could hear his throat click.
“He already has a date. With me. Tonight. Find another barista to harass.”

Summary
Nanami suspected he should feel threatened by the curse’s presence, but there was something about the scene that had him more intrigued than fearful. Neither emotion compared to that of relief, for even if he wasn’t in control, seeing Itadori’s body in front of him had to mean that the boy was alive— had been alive all this time.
Their hope hadn’t been in vain.
About to open his mouth and address the curse, Sukuna raised a finger to his face and stopped him. He looked the sorcerer over in search of something and let out a growl between his teeth, leaving Nanami unsure if he found what he was looking for.
Then, Sukuna spoke.
“Tell anyone that we are here, and I will see that as an attack worth killing you over.”
❤ Itadori Yuji disappeared off the face of the earth exactly one year ago. Theories, accusations, and threats have been made during the search to bring him home, but no worthwhile progress has been made in light of the efforts of those who care about him. But everything changes when the missing boy appears right outside Nanami's door.

Summary
All of a sudden, an invisible blade cut through the air, the clouds, and even the stars themselves in one giant sweep to split the cursed finger in two just before it could ever pass through Itadori’s lips. An impossible feat. Such an object was said to be indestructible, as countless sorcerers over the last thousand years had all tested their blades— literal and metaphorical —against any finger that had been unearthed from the scattered set of twenty.
Not even Gojo could destroy those mummified fingers, and he was the strongest sorcerer of them all. So how was Fushiguro able to witness an impossible task be carried out before his eyes?
Crazier still was the array of strikes dicing the beast still grasping Itadori tight. The cursed spirit crumbled beneath him, and based on the baffled look in Itadori’s eyes, Fushiguro could only assume that none of this had been his doing. How could it? Itadori had no cursed energy, which meant that someone else must have—
“Must you always get yourself into trouble, brat?”
❤ Yuji was about to swallow a cursed mummified finger... until he didn't.

Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
