Clark ha entrenado al equipo de fútbol de la Universidad de Smallville desde hace doce años y doce veces los ha llevado a la victoria, totalmente invictos; es el número de veces que tienen que reponer la vajilla cada año (sí, una vez por mes) en casa. Incluso Bruce, que no cree mucho en la suerte, se da cuenta de la constante presencia del doce en sus vidas y eso lo hace sentir como si fuera una de esas personas que aseguran ver números espejo. Él cree que no puede estar tan loco.

    Peach opened the parcel with delicate fingers and read it carefully, her eyes widening with each subsequent word. She let her hands drop to her sides, gave her husband-to-be a bewildered stare, and bit her lip before saying-

    “No, it’s an acceptance. Bowser has agreed to come to our wedding.”
