Summary
Whale Island has never felt so small and isolated as right then, standing next to Aunt Mito’s letterbox holding a postcard from someone he’s suddenly not sure he’ll see again for a very long time.
After parting with Killua at the World Tree, Gon returns to Whale Island, weighed down with regrets. Sporadic postcards from afar are now his only connection to his best friend, fragile threads stretching across the vast distance as he tries to untangle what Killua truly means to him. As he drifts in the ache of separation and an uncertain future, darkness stirs on the horizon and threatens to draw them back together - whether they are ready or not.
My attempt to fill in the gaps for Gon and Killua between the World Tree and the Black Whale, with some creative liberties taken!

Summary
Disaster strikes the Hail Mary on its way back to Earth. The taumoeba escape their breeding tanks, and make it to the fuel lines. Stranded in space just outside the Tau Ceti system, Dr Ryland Grace can't do anything. He can't go save Rocky, he can't go save Earth. Exhausted, out of options, and distraught, he fills the ship with nitrogen, and takes his final breath.
Next thing he knows, his eyes flutter open in his San Francisco apartment. It's a year before ArcLight touches down on Earth, but he remembers the Petrova Task Force.

Eva Stratt was chosen to lead the Petrova Task Force, to effectively lead the charge to save the world. The job requires her to be unflinchingly ruthless and selfless in turns. The ends justify the means, as long as the end result leaves the earth saved.

The Vampire Eva Stratt is different from the Human she once was. You see, Vampires by their very nature are Selfish Creatures. They have to be in order to function and survive.
What does selfish (and bloodthirsty) look like on the most powerful woman in the world?

Initially Based on the tumblr textpost (Unseenorchid!) because this idea is hilarious;
You can consolidate the differences between book!Erid customs and movie!Erid customs if you accept that movie Rocky is just a freak.After 40 earth years alone in the Tau Ceti system, Grace shouldn't be surprised that Rocky is quite... eccentric. Hes also extremely avoidant, emotionally volatile, and accidentally on purpose didn't disclose certain things to Grace.
Rocky is grasping at straws here. He's literally been walking around stark naked and worse, *eating*, in front of the most important alien representative he will ever meet. Adrian is going to combust. He has to explain all these issues to Grace before they get to Erid.
[Initially supposed to be a crack fic, it devolved into angst. Even I was shocked and I was the one writing it.]
