Summary
Steve was just about to make a comment about how dramatic Eddie was being, and not in his usual endearing theatrical way, when Eddie took a deep breath and looked away. “Those upside-down bat fucks they- they did something to me, man.” Steve frowned. “What?” Eddie’s eyes snapped back to him, and Steve could see irritation as he repeated, “They did something to me.” Steve was confused, “Yeah, they ate you half to death, what about it?”
Eddie groaned, “No Steve, like, like-” “Just spit it out!” “Fine!” Eddie shouted, Steve could feel his breath on his face. “I’ll spit it out Harrington, I can fucking feel it when- ugh! I’ve got these like- it’s some vampire fucking power or something! I can like, hear people’s heartbeats and shit, sense t- their blood flow.” He said the last part like it physically pained him.
Steve blinked. That wasn’t exactly what he’d expected. “Eddie,” Steve made an effort to bring his voice down, to pull the anger from it “that's wild as hell, definitely worth a big conversation and some scientific studies, but what exactly does that have to do with me?”

Summary
It was 2023 in boring Hawkins, Indiana, and Steve Harrington didn't know what he was doing with his life. Home from college with a barely passing GPA, recently dumped, and drunkenly careening down a dark country road to the tune of his own misery, Steve was aware that he might be depressed. Therapy would've been the sane solution. But before he could turn around and make that choice, a glowing red hole cracked open in the middle of the road, and he was sent flying through time and space.
It was also 1985 in boring Hawkins, Indiana, and Eddie Munson had a five step plan on how to fix his life. First, graduate high school. Second, provide a kickass D&D campaign for the nosy little freshman that joined Hellfire. And finally, write more music and go on tour with his band. Okay, three step plan. Absolutely nothing about his plan-in-progress included stumbling across the hottest man he'd ever seen stranded on the side of the road. Or the glowing red portal to hell parked next to him.
