Summary
Not as hard as you'd imagine, managing your wayward romantic feelings for your married straight coworker. There was nothing actually at stake here, no illusions from him that anything might come of it. There was safety in that hopelessness. It meant he could just gather all those pesky emotions together in a little bundle, throw it over his shoulder and keep on hobbling along in life.
And if sometimes he feels in danger of having a breakdown in the middle of the produce aisle at his local supermarket because he spotted a stupid fucking pineapple whilst doing his weekly shopping and it reminded him of an equally stupid tattoo adorning the forearm of an even more stupid man and it all makes him so overtaken with longing he could fall to his knees with it, then—well. That's nobody's business but his own.

Summary
Of all the times (and there had been many a time, especially whilst drunk and sentimental and utterly stupid) he'd stopped to imagine what Alex would look like after being thoroughly kissed — not because of a gag, not for a quick laugh or as part of a performance, but simply because they wished — he never could have predicted just how lovely the man would actually look. His ruddy cheeks were even redder than usual, the way they got when he was well and truly pleased —usually from laughing too hard, something Greg took an inordinate amount of pride in being the cause of, more often than not — a truly lovely colour that he longed to touch with his lips. Speaking of which, Alex's lips were shiny and inviting, half open to tease but a hint of the tooth gap Greg had become so endeared to.
Another obvious difference to the sappy little scenarios he'd been secretly keeping inside the hidden compartment of his old and battered heart was that, in his fantasies, he was the one taking Alex's breath away.

Summary
Crowley -- demon (retired) and original Tempter -- simply lies there, as the cold stone of the pavement slowly drains the warmth from his twitching body.
Everything around him is fuzzy and his vision is muddled. Sounds and lights bleed into one single shifting elusive dance; his senses too fraught from the alcohol and the violent beating he's just received to really make sense of any of it.

Summary
"Sorry, didn't mean to wake you, love." His voice came out scratchy.
"You didn't."
Ed watched Stede tuck his chin into his chest, eyes looking everywhere but at him. He slowly traced patterns over the soft back of Stede's hand in an attempt to soothe him.
"Nightmares?"
He nodded minutely, though his hand gripped Ed's tighter. It pained him to see Stede like that, his usually open stance and sunny disposition gone, as his moonlit frame seemed to coil onto itself.

Stede has a flashback to the face-off with Chauncey which triggers his massive self-loathing and Ed has to comfort him and set him right.

Benítez smiled. “I was simply wondering. Are you and Cardinal Bellini... intimate friends?”
“Of—of course not!” Lawrence stuttered, knowing his face and chest had to be breaking out in splotches of bright red color, and hating it. “What an absurd thing to say! I—I haven't... I would not—”
Benítez just raised his own eyebrows, seemingly unmoved by Lawrence’s outburst. “Why not?”
