    I've always wanted to know more about Shane’s Japanese heritage. So here’s my attempt to give him a little bit more background, as well as a kimono obsession to Ilya.

    While I am not Japanese myself, I have lived over 10 years in Japan, speak the language to the best of my ability, and have enjoyed summer festivities an ungodly amount over the years. I hope this story does justice to my love for Japan, its culture, and of course our two favourite fictional hockey players.
