Summary
Zoro’s used to being the one people rely on in a fight. A tool. A shield. A sword (or three). No one’s ever accused him of being intelligent—or even having common sense. Then he met Luffy—and the rest of them—and somehow, he thought he’d found something different. People who saw him as something other than an idiot. Something other than a weapon.
But between getting lost, missing things everyone else seems to just get, and saying the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time, it’s not hard to start hearing the same old story again—from the very people he opened himself up to: he’s stupid, and he’s only good with a sword.
And if that’s how the Straw Hats see him… then maybe that’s all he is.
The problem is, the Straw Hats don’t realize what they’re reinforcing.
And by the time they do, Zoro’s already running himself into the ground trying to be useful enough to keep.
Now they just have to figure out how to fix something they didn’t even know they broke—before he breaks himself for good.

Summary
Nami doesn’t know when it started.
Not exactly. Not "that moment" or "that thing" - nothing that could be pointed at or named. Not a confession or a kiss or a line crossed. Just a shift—subtle at first, then unmistakable. A gravity she didn’t realize she’d stepped into until she was already standing at the center of it.
but something started. Between a crazy captain, battles, drinking games, fish-men, and tangerines, something very definitely starts, as if it always was.
Nami doesn't know when it started, but she does know that nothing between her and Zoro will ever be the same. -

Summary
The night was dark, with stars sparkling in the endless sky and the moon illuminating the figure that made its silent way down the stairs from the deck, swaying slightly, their gait uneven. They clutched the railing, head hanging, moonlight glinting off of green shocks of hair.
Well, he’d be a sea beast. It was the swordsman. Bigger than last time, if his silhouette was anything to go by.
Zeff straightened, unfolding his arms. “Strawhat!” he called, stepping out into the night, his wooden leg thunking on the deck. “Didn’t expect to see you. Heard you were East.” The swordsman reached the bottom and went still, waiting while he made his way closer. Zeff squinted one eye, glancing around, surprised by the silence. No whoops or hollers, no conversation loud enough to wake the dead. “Where’s the rest of your crew? Still on the Sunny?” The swordsman remained still, his eyes an unnatural black in the darkness, reflecting little points of moonlight. Dread began to pool in Zeff’s stomach. “What’s wrong?” he barked, voice low and gruff. “What’s happened?”
“Sanji’s dead.” The swordsman’s voice was quiet, as rough as gravel. “I killed him.”

Summary
It was a promise made in a moment when anything less than a 'yes' would have been unacceptable. But when the time comes to fulfill that promise, Zoro realizes Sanji wasn't kidding and must do the hardest thing he's ever had to do in his entire life, and the results are more damaging than Sanji had anticipated for his nakama.
Or: Death Pacts are not to be made lightly, and how the crew of the Sunny must pick up the pieces of a certain swordsman afterwards.

Summary
"He left you to die," Mihawk says, pouring two fingers of scotch. "And yet you still reach for your swords."
"You don't know him," Zoro spits through a split lip.
"I know a tyrant when I see one."
After a failed assassination attempt, Zoro is discarded by the Straw Hats and taken in by the very man he was supposed to kill. Unlearning the cult of Luffy takes time, but Hawk-Eyes has nothing but time. Until the past comes knocking on the front door.

Summary
CW: graphic description of injuries, self-harm, low self-worth, grief, denial of childhood trauma, disenfranchised grief, emotional repression, suicidal ideation, *possible suicide attempt.
Roronoa Zoro was a man who lived in the present. Although the first mate of the Straw Hat pirates was the anchor that held the group together, it might have been taken for granted that the swordsman was protective and loyal to the point of self-sacrificial.
After Wano, recovering from death, Zoro thinks of Kuina. Her death haunts him as he ponders why his relentless desire to be strong has defined him. Zoro is not as put together as some outsiders judge, and the silence of the night is the only witness to Zoro's mind.

Summary
After a brutal attack at sea, Monkey D. Luffy awakens alone—his mind imprisoned inside the memories of his first crewmate, Roronoa Zoro. Reliving Zoro’s childhood rivalries, sacrifices, and unspoken burdens, Luffy sees the weight his swordsman has carried for him all along.
Meanwhile, on the deck of the Thousand Sunny, Zoro faces the deadly pirate Marina, whose Devil Fruit power turns loyalty into illusion and memory into a battlefield. With Luffy unconscious at his back, Zoro must fight not for glory, but to protect the captain who changed his life—and to uphold the promise that binds their dreams together.
In a war of blades, memories, and unshakable devotion, one thing becomes clear: some bonds aren’t forged in victory—they’re carved in blood, sacrifice, and the unwavering will to protect the ones you love.Bookmarked by Mara_DragonMaster

Day 16: Apology
For a moment, neither of them moved. The game, forgotten. The drinks, untouched. Leaving only the quiet, fragile thing he had placed between them and the question of what she would do with it. Nami stared at him and thought—this wasn’t how Zoro did things. He didn’t circle around his mistakes. Didn’t pick them apart like this, didn’t lay them out piece by piece with this kind of quiet, deliberate honesty.

Summary
“You don’t have to ruin your shirt.”
A ghost of a smirk played on his lips. “I’ve survived legendary swordsmen, Nami. I don’t think some snot is going to kill me.”
“BARELY survived, and don’t go making it weird by being nice to me.” She declared, pointing at him threateningly.
“Afraid to find out you might actually tolerate me?”
She growled before punching him lightly in the arm.
——
After Nami suffers vivid flashbacks of her trauma from Arlong Park, Zoro helps her ground herself. Zoro affirms how strong and capable Nami is in his eyes, while also demonstrating that he can be the person she leans on when things fall apart.
