It had started six months ago during a joint mission. Damian had miscalculated a jump, and Red Hood had caught him mid-air with one arm, swinging them both to safety while making it look effortless.
The casual strength, the crooked grin afterwards, the way Jason had ruffled his hair and said "Nice try, Robin" with something almost like fondness—it had done something irreversible to Damian's brain chemistry.

Summary
It’s always a bad time when a bat intrudes on a Red Hood case. Jason doesn't take kindly to interference of any sort and Dick is the epitome of an unwanted irritant. The night would have been easier for both of them had Dick not recognized Jason by tits alone. It's all distraction from there. Hardly ideal circumstances when trying to outplay the mob.
